About Us ~ Randy’s Backyard BBQ began in 1980 with a brick backyard pit. Randy’s love of cooking inspired him to begin a secret quest ~ to cook BBQ like he ate while growing up in North Alabama. Over the years the cooking process and sauce recipes have all been refined.

Today, the secret’s out, the pit is larger but in a different “backyard,” and the drive to produce the highest quality product at a reasonable price has become the goal.

RBB strives to keep the menu simple. That doesn’t mean that we won’t attempt to deliver your event’s special food requests ~ just simply ask. If we can’t deliver the highest quality product we’ll tell you so ~ it’s that simple.

If you’re in the Grayson, GA area and smell something “extra special” it’s probably the pit doing some smokin’ for some extra special people.

Ya’ll Call!

About the food ~ At Randy's Backyard BBQ, we strive to produce the highest quality, best tasting, and freshest smoked meat and side dishes as possible. We use only fresh, unfrozen meats and vegetables that are first quality and highly rated by the USDA. The meats are slow cooked and smoked for 12 -16 hours using regional hardwood for flavoring. The sides are made fresh for each event. The meat is not machine processed but hand-pulled so you get a product with the lowest fat and gristle content around. According to a recent taste test by a certified BBQ Judge, our meat qualifies as competition grade. We don't compete at cook-offs but we do compete for your business. That's our goal...to be the best for you, our customer, and get your highest rating.

About the ingredients ~ All of our made-from-scratch rubs and sauces contain special order, commercial grade spices and ingredients. They come from the various parts of the country and world that produces only the best highest grade spices.

About the preparation ~ Everything is home-made. Yep, Randy makes sure he is involved in every phase of the process...from personally smoking, cooking, and preparing the meats, stews, and sauces to overseeing, if not personally preparing, the sides...well except for the specialties Mrs. Leah prepares. Ask him to do her famous potato casserole or banana pudding and he'll hold his hands up and tell you that's a never-can-match venture.

About the packaging ~ We package specific for your event. We use commercial grade containers and packaging to insure the food remains at its highest quality until you consume it.
